Beatrice Boots is the Director of the National STEM Platform (PTvT), an organisation created by the Dutch ministries of Economic Affairs (EZK), Education (OCW) and Social Affairs (SZW) to implement the Dutch national STEM strategy. She is also the Chairwoman of the EU STEM Coalition (EU-wide network of national STEM platforms of which PTvT holds the secretariat). She joined the Dutch national STEM platform in 2004.
Ms. Boots graduated in Geographic Information Systems from Utrecht University and worked as a policy officer at the University of Amsterdam. After working in Jakarta, Indonesia, she joined Platform Axis, where she conducted research on how to interest more students in STEM.
