Lead of LEAP Project & Leading Women AreaWorld Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)

Since 2019, Gabriela Uriarte is the Director of the Leading Women and LEAP Project area of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), an international organization of 200 top companies, working to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world. It is a private organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, with different offices around the world.
Until then, Ms. Uriarte worked for almost all her professional life in the field of business organisations at different levels: at CEOE (Confederation of Employers and Industries of Spain) leading among others, the Promociona Women´s Project and as Deputy Training Director. She has also worked in BusinessEurope (European Employers’ Confederation) in Brussels, responsible for the areas of Equality and Training as well as in CEPYME (the Spanish SME´s organization), as Director of International, Equality and Training Affairs.
Ms. Uriarte has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Navarra. She also has a Master in Labor Relations, ESADE Program of Management Development. She is an Equal Opportunities Agent and received a scholarship from the Rafael del Pino Foundation to study the Global Civil Society and Global Leadership programs at Harvard University. In 2018 and 2019, Ms. Uriarte was chosen as Top100 Leader Woman of Spain.
