Hans Hess

Hans Hess has held leading positions in several industrial companies, including 10 years as CEO of Leica Geosystems, before founding his own company Hanesco AG in 2006. He is President of the privately-held company Reichle & de Massari Holding AG in Wetzikon, and Vice-President of the listed Dormakaba Holding AG in Rümlang.
Since 2010, Mr. Hess is Chairman of Swissmem, the largest Swiss industry association, as well as Vice-Chairman of economiesuisse, the Swiss umbrella organisation for Economy. He also holds the Chairman position in the Sponsorship Association 92 of the Europa Forum Lucerne. Furthermore, Mr. Hess is member of the board of trustees of Technorama Science Center in Winterthur and of Swisscontact development aid organization.
Mr. Hess holds a degree in Materials Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and has later earned an MBA from the University of Southern California (USA).
